Having worked with one of Scandinavia’s most intense infrastructure expansion projects in modern times it is now time to reflect and draw conclusions. We learned from first-hand experience what the most important issues to address are when investing in infrastructure.

To confirm our insights, we have taken some time to discuss the topic with a senior professional who has been a key stakeholder in the center of telecom development and information infrastructure during the past 25 years, Mr Björn Lundström. Björn Lundström is a management consultant and former CTO of several large mobile and infrastructure operators.

There are currently several private investment initiatives related to infrastructure that are going to reshape society in the years to come including but not limited to the energy, environmental, transport, logistics, data and telecom sector. Every sector with its specific set of challenges that needs to be addressed.

The future demands great investments

In order to meet future technology development, as per above, many countries face the need to update their current infrastructure capacity. Besides energy, the information demand has increased drastically, especially the last couple of years, creating a need for societies to invest in current most capable technologies.
